Unearthed: Intercessories to Freedom

On its surface, Korea is booming with industry, art, media, education and is a thriving country of high morals and family values. However, not far off the main roads of digital billboards, American fast food restaurants, and small eateries full of boiling pots and kimchi lay rows of small, dirty, pink-lit glass box rooms. Inside these dank display cases are the vacant eyes of girls bearing a life full of hurt, abuse, abandonment and lies.

Cars drive by slowly as men window shop for the night’s disposable entertainment.

This side of life in Korea is reality for thousands of girls in Seoul where they are coerced and trafficked on a daily basis; trapped, alone and unable to break through the pink cages they live in.

Unearthed is a group that exists to change the culture and climate these girls live in. Through prayer walks and relationship building, this group is seeing God break through into the hearts of all involved in this thriving injustice.  From prostitutes and the men who purchase them, to pimps and the youth growing up in a culture regressing into an attitude of acceptance and apathy, Unearthed is befriending and empowering people living in darkness through the light and love of Christ. 

We had the opportunity to join this beautiful group as they prayed through a redlight district in Seoul. Established in 2008, Unearthed is experiencing growth and favor as they continue to stay faithful to God’s call.  Unseen is excited to partner with these wonderful people to equip them with the necessay marketing and media to accomplish their mission as they move into uncharted territory on this dark front. Please pray for protection, wisdom and guidance as Unearthed blesses Seoul.
